OTTAWA – Baley Lehr overcame a two-shot deficit Sunday to win the 71st Annual Pine Hills Invitational.
Lehr, who started Sunday’s final nine holes in a tie for second with Lloyd Roth, carded a 33 in the final round to finish 69-33 for 102 strokes overall. Robert Renner (70-33) was a shot back to place second, followed by Brian Lehr (71-33-104), Trent Wallace (72-33-105) and Josh Gass (71-35-106).
Trey Tussey, who fired a 67 Saturday to take the overnight lead, needed 41 strokes Sunday and finished in a tie for 10th place. Roth posted a 38 Sunday and tied for sixth place.
John Finnin won the Senior division by three strokes, going 72-35-107 to place in a tie for sixth in the overall standings. Tom Prescott (74-36) was second while Greg Seelinger (74-37-111) and Rick Lehr (77-34-111) tied for third.
Kim Dong claimed the Super Senior championship, shooting 76-38-114 to edge Steve Bornack, who also shot 114 in 75-39. Jim Zartman (76-40-116) was third.
Kirk Blakney was the A Flight winner, overcoming a five-shot deficit to win with 112 strokes (75-37). Dong was second, then Jake Strabala (79-36-115) and first round leader Dan Ostby (70-46-116).
