St. Sen. Sue Rezin says Illinois has “brain drain” because college students don’t get a lot of certainty here. The Morris Republican says Monetary Award Program grants are for one year in Illinois. Other states guarantee them for all four years of college, and Rezin says Illinois should too.
Rezin sponsored a bill that was sent to the governor to provide for four-year MAP grants and also provide other money to help students pay for college. She spoke about it on WCMY’s The Morning Meeting.
