OTTAWA – Julio Mendez scored for the Pirates early in the second half, but Ottawa could not find the equalizer.

Alex Ellerbrock and Oscar Gonzalez had goals in the first half for the Cavaliers.

OTTAWA – At Pine Hills Golf Club, the Pirates’ T.J. McDonnell was medalist with a 4-over 39. Joe Connell posted a 45 for Ottawa (3-3, 2-2) followed by Kaden Harth (46) and Caden Ericzon (47).

Nate Rodriguez and Ayden Sines led the Cavaliers with rounds of 41.


Serena def. Parkview Christian, 25-21, 25-22

SERENA – Lyla Thorpen finished with 13 assists, five digs and a kill for Serena, while Emily Hook swung for seven kills and Lexi May added four kills. Jamie Young led the defense with nine digs, and Tori Pavnica (three kills) and Cali Olavarri (two kills, three aces) each chipped in three blocks in the victory.

OTTAWA – At Pine Hills Golf Club, Michael Bruner led the Pirates with a meet-best 49. Noah Stoudt and Megan Bessett were just one shot behind him, with Tyce Love contributing a 54 to round out the Pirates’ scoring.

LA SALLE – Ottawa’s Kyleigh Olszewski won her No. 2 singles match, 6-1, 6-3. Mary Riva and Haley Roalson followed with a 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 win at No. 1 doubles, and Tessa Thiry and Avery Landers cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles.

Zayna Shams and Autumn Kunkel, Paris Blankenship and Skylar Rudnicky, and Mary Riva and Emily Walker won exhibition doubles matches for the Lady Corsairs (6-1).
