Ottawa to tell public about Jackson St. plaza plan

Plans to turn part of Jackson St. in downtown Ottawa into a festival plaza will be presented to the public next Monday night, October 15 at 7pm at City Hall. A city announcement says city officials will take feedback too. The plan to eliminate the one-way street with parking came up as part of plans for remodeling two buildings nearby next year. There’s a study of parking issues and a search for what to do with the Lincoln-Douglas debate mural too.
