Some Streator residents prefer more full-fledged police instead of community service officers

The Streator City Council’s desire to save money is meeting the public’s perception that it’s getting dangerous. Streator resident Lorraine Forrest believes the city should have more armed officers.

Resident Toni Pettit said similar things to the City Council this week.
