Seneca goes 3-0 at home quad

SENECA – The Fighting Irish knocked off Mooseheart (63-12), Marquette (60-16) and Saint Bede (45-24) in the meet.

Wilson Widman, Cole Biffany, Joey Hatz and Edgar Reyes went 3-0 on the day for Seneca (17-10). Luke Sangston, D.J. Allen, Jaden Casey, Jackson Beene and Wade Tondini won two matches, and Isaac Marques, Nathan Elliott, Jacob Hampton, Cody Carvell, Gavin Robertson and Dakota Punke also recorded victories.

Logan Petre and Maverick McAlpine had pinfall victories for Marquette in their matches against Seneca opponents, while Hunter McAlpine won by major decision. No additional results for Marquette were available.


Saint Bede 45, Marquette 27

OTTAWA – The Lady Crusaders were outscored 25-8 in the middle quarters of a non-conference loss at Bader Gym. Ellen Wheatland paced Marquette (7-10) with eight points.

Carly Eustice scored a game-high 11 points for Saint Bede (9-10), while Maggie Sons, Naomi Ochuba and Hannah Johnson contributed eight points apiece.


Ottawa finishes 5th at NIB12 Conference Tournament

PERU – At IV Super Bowl, the Pirates tallied 6,502 pins on the day. Vinnie Parise placed fourth individually and was selected All-Conference after a six-game total of 1,194 with a high game of 235. Zander Parise added 1,155 pins, including a 243 game.

UNDATED – Grace Satterfield led the Lady Vikings (13-0, 4-0) with 12 points. Gabi Kruger chipped in seven points in the victory.

OTTAWA – Aaron Threadgill poured in 13 points for the Vikings, Javarious Whitfield chipped in six points and Luke Cushing finished with five points.
