State Police spoke to a California woman at a gas station north of Utica early Wednesday morning. Thirty-five year old Meghan Tighe ended up arrested on a charge of cannabis possession with intent to deliver.
Troopers say a dog did a free-air sniff around Tighe’s car and signaled. She allegedly had 80 pounds of cannabis and 94 vape cartridges containing THC, the compound in marijuana that causes a high.
LaSalle County Judge Cynthia Raccuglia set bond for Tighe at $2 million Thursday and scheduled her to be in court again next week for her plea after a grand jury reviews the charges.
