Power companies continue repairing and replacing poles and wires after ice storm

Power companies are replacing poles and repairing fallen wires in the wake of this week’s ice storm. Ameren Illinois reports 102 wires and 37 poles were damaged as of last night throughout its territory in the state. Corn Belt Energy says it found at least 63 places in its territory with similar problems. ComEd had the most outages in LaSalle County as of this morning. An outage prompted Waltham School administrators to announce a two-hour delay start this morning.
