There won’t be a taste of Ottawa or music event at Riverfest in downtown Ottawa this year.
An announcement from Ottawa City Hall Friday says low attendance is to blame.
Mayor Bob Eschbach says the event has either run its course or needs to be reinvented entirely.
Art in the Park, at Washington Park, the parade, and the Jackson Street activities are still happening.
Eschbach says when Riverfest was first started it was the only annual event the city had. Now there are many more for people to enjoy.
