ROOTS with ROBB Classic Album: BACK IN BLACK

There’s many reason ‘Back in Black’ is one of the biggest selling albums of all-time.  The riffs are monstrous, their enigmatic lead singer had passed less than 6 months before it was released, so everyone wanted to hear what they’d sound like without him, and ‘Mutt’ Lange harnessed their sound on his 2nd of Three outings with the band is clear, concise, easily digestible Hard Rock for the masses.  Is it their best album?  Maybe.  There’s not a bad song on it.  But when you ask AC/DC fans their favorite song of the band, is it from the Bryan Johnson era?  Or Bon Scott?  And while we’re on the topic of astrology, would Back and Black been as successful if Bon would’ve been the singer and still alive.  We debate on today’s Roots!
