OTTAWA – Makenna Tkach had a day to remember, firing a complete game one-hitter with 18 strikeouts for Marquette (12-2, 8-0). She also went 2 for 3 with a three-run homer, four RBIs total and two runs scored at the plate.
Ellen Wheatland added a pair of hits and an RBI as the Lady Crusaders won for the 10th straight game.

SENECA – Cassidy Draves hit a solo homer as the Lady Irish (19-3) stretched their winning streak to eight games. Grace Flatness, Maddy Klicker (RBI) and Abriana Jashari (double) added two hits, and Zoe Hougas contributed a double and two RBIs.
Winning pitcher Anne Krull (10-2) allowed three earned runs and struck out six in the complete game win.

STREATOR – Faith Clift had two hits and Jadyn Hansen fanned 11 hitters while allowing only six hits over 12 shutout innings in the pitcher’s circle before play was suspended.
Streator softball and Reed-Custer tied 0-0 through 12 innings, game suspended on account of darkness.

SERENA – Maddie Holdiman recorded a hit and two RBIs for Serena (3-14, 2-5), but took the pitching loss after allowing five earned runs over three innings.
Malachi Staton and Kallie Cantlin each contributed two hits in the Lady Huskers’ seventh consecutive loss.
Peoria Notre Dame 11, Marquette 6
OTTAWA – The Irish scored five runs in the top of the first and held the lead from there, sending Marquette to its first loss of the season. Haydon Price slugged three doubles and drove in three for the Crusaders (16-1). Logan Komater added two hits, two runs and an RBI.
Bryce Jones (4-1) allowed seven earned runs in 3 2/3 innings and took the loss.
Indian Creek 10, Serena 2
SERENA – Riley McNelis (2 for 3) and Conner Holdiman (0 for 2) drove in the runs for the Huskers (6-9, 5-3).
Connor Baker took the loss, allowing four earned runs and striking out six over five innings on the hill.
