GENESEO – Jace Addis hit a two-run double in Ottawa’s three-run first inning, and Peter Walsh had a run-scoring double among his two hits for the Pirates (12-13, 5-5).

Tyler Carson struck out five and scattered four hits and three walks in a complete game victory.

Ottawa plays La Salle-Peru at Masinelli Field tonight at 6:30 on WCMY.

Streator claims I-8 victory

WILMINGTON – Addison Price recorded a single and two RBIs for the Lady Bulldogs (16-8, 7-5). Faith Clift added a sacrifice fly in the loss.

Ottawa finishes fourth at NIB12 Championship

ROCHELLE – The Pirates’ No. 1 doubles duo of Andrew Hancock and Tyler Olesen placed second overall and went 2-1 for the tournament, which was finished Monday after inclement weather called off play Saturday.

The other doubles pairings of Sam Barron and Regan Linde (No. 2), and of Matt Jackson and Gorge Leon (No. 3) shook off opening-round losses with two wins each to finish fifth.

Logan Olszewski also placed fifth at No. 1 singles, finishing with two wins after dropping his opening match.
