Marquette 10, Hinckley-Big Rock 0 (5 innings)
AMBOY – The No. 1-seeded Lady Crusaders cruised in the IHSA Class 1A Amboy Regional semifinalsbehind a brilliant day from Makenna Tkach (19-3), who struck out 11 hitters and issued only one walk in a five-inning no-hitter, and added a 2 for 3 day at the plate with four RBIs.
Addie McConnaughhay slugged a two-run triple in an eight-run third inning that propelled Marquette (20-5) past the eighth-seeded Lady Royals and into Friday afternoon’s regional championship game.
Seneca 11, Clifton Central 5
SENECA – Zoe Hougas plated two with a go-ahead double in Seneca’s eight-run fourth inning, Claudia Morris followed with a two-run double, and Cassidy Draves hit a three-run shot later in the inning as the Lady Irish (30-5) claimed victory in the IHSA Class 2A Seneca Regional semifinals.
Hougas finished with two hits and four RBIs, and Anne Krull (16-4) struck out seven in a complete game victory.
The No. 1-seeded Lady Irish will play fourth-seeded Reed-Custer for the regional title Saturday.
Saint Bede 3, Serena 1
PERU – In the IHSA Class 1A Saint Bede Regional semifinals, the seventh-seeded Lady Huskers gave up three runs in the first inning and could not come up with enough runs to avoid elimination.
Katie Baker and Maddie Holdiman had the only hits of the day for Serena (6-20). Taylor Staton scattered five hits and two walks over six innings, allowing the three early runs before tossing five shutout frames to finish the game.
Ottawa 11, La Salle-Peru 0
PERU – Sloan Gayan hit a two-run homer and finished with two hits and three RBIs for the Lady Pirates (20-6, 7-4). Jenna Nink added a solo home run, while Cassie Turk (2 for 4, double), Abi Claus (2 for 4) and Lauren Carlson (1 for 4, double) each drove in two runs.
Gayan (17-6) struck out eight over four innings and got the win while Abby Bukantis fanned five over three innings to finish off a three-hit shutout.
Streator 5, Illinois Valley Central 4
CHILLICOTHE – Jadyn Hansen (triple, RBI), Maddie Barichello (RBI), Ellie Magana and Grace Schmitz each recorded two hits for the Lady Bulldogs (17-8). Anna Schmitz pitched four innings of one-run ball to earn the pitching win.
Ottawa 6, La Salle-Peru 0
OTTAWA – Jared Herzog (4-5) had a dominant outing at Masinelli Field, firing a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts and only one walk.
John Bruner hit a two-run double in the first inning for the Pirates (13-13, 6-5) and finished 2 for 4 with three RBIs in the contest. Herzog added an RBI single and Alex Stevenson tacked on a run-scoring double.

LA SALLE – Ottawa lost in the IHSA Class 2A La Salle-Peru Regional semifinals. Kaitlyn Falaney scored her 100th career goal on an assist from Destiny Crabbe. The Lady Pirates finish the season 10-7-2.

Ottawa 3, Pontiac 2
OTTAWA – Logan Olszewski (6-2, 6-0) and Sam Walker (6-1, 6-3) picked up win in singles play for the Pirates (10-8). Matt Jackson and Gorge Leon added a victory at No. 3 doubles (6-7 , 6-2, 10-3). Ryan Durango and Bobby Braddish added an 8-0 win in exhibition doubles, while Kaedon Cronkright and Tyler Olesen had an 8-1 exhibition doubles win as well.
Ottawa won the freshman/sophomore dual, 5-0. Jon Szewczuk (6-2, 6-2) and Logan Goetsch (6-1, 7-6 ) won in singles play. Tanner Ditchfield and Eddy Cheli (6-1, 7-6 ), the duo of Leo Volker and Anthony Miller (6-3, 6-1), and the Ethan Krafft-Duncan Perry pairing (6-4, 6-0) contributed doubles wins.
