CHICAGO (AP) — The Cubs’ Ben Zobrist and his wife, Julianna Zobrist, have filed court documents in separate states seeking to end their marriage. Ben Zobrist filed a complaint for legal separation in Tennessee, according to The Tennesseean. Julianna Zobrist filed for divorce, according to Cook County Circuit Court records.
KOSICE, Slovakia (AP) — Patrick Kane scored a goal and had two assists to become the United States’ all-time leading scorer at the world hockey championship in 6-3 win over Britain. The NHL star and two-time Olympian finished the game with 36 points, surpassing the 33 points U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Johnson had at the world championships. The U.S. has won three straight games in Group A since opening with a loss. Switzerland stayed undefeated in Group B as Andreas Ambuhl scored twice in a 4-1 win over Norway.

UCF’s Tacko Fall, Florida State’s Terance Mann, Miami’s Dewan Hernandez, Syracuse’s Oshae Brissett, Nevada’s Cody Martin, Tulsa’s DaQuan Jeffries, Auburn’s Jared Harper, Iowa’s Tyler Cook, Iowa State’s Marial Shayok, Mississippi State’s Reggie Perry and Ole Miss’ Terence Davis were invited to stay for the workouts that begin Thursday.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — For a minor-league team that plays its home games in flood-ravaged Iowa on the swollen banks of the Mississippi River, the season so far has presented some unusual challenges. The Quad Cities River Bandits have been forced to lug their equipment everywhere they go because they don’t yet have lockers. Worse than that, the players sometimes don’t even know where they’ll be playing the next day. The River Bandits will play 40 of their first 43 games away from their home in Davenport.
CHICAGO (AP) — New Orleans has bucked the odds and won the NBA’s draft lottery, and now will have the first chance at choosing Zion Williamson in the June 20 selections. The Pelicans won the lottery for the first time since 2012, when they chose Anthony Davis.
