Corrections Officers and Ottawa Police were on top of the Ottawa Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant Friday to raise money for Illinois Special Olympics.

Helping them out was Special Olympian Kelli Ewbank who participates in swimming, track and field, bocce, and bowling.

She enjoys the event.

Her father, Kevin Ewbank was there too.

Sheridan Corrections Sgt. Scott Forth organizes the event.

He says last year $3,000 was raised.

Correction Officer Ryan Morrissey has been doing the event for three years. WCMY news talked to him on the roof.

Police all over the state participated.

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to raise funds for Special Olympics is next month.
