CHICAGO (AP) — Trea Turner homered in the second straight game and had three hits, Aníbal Sánchez pitched into the seventh and the Washington Nationals beat the Chicago White Sox 12-1. Turner tripled and scored in the third, went deep against Odrisamer Despaigne leading off the fifth and added an RBI double in the seventh. He also struck out to start the game and struck out in the eighth. Sánchez (2-6) gave up one run and four hits.

CHICAGO (AP) — Yoán Moncada has left the Chicago White Sox’s game against the Washington Nationals because of tightness in his upper back. Moncada was replaced at third base by José Rondón to start the seventh inning on Monday and is day to day. He singled to extend his hitting streak to 11 games and is batting .295 with 12 homers and 39 RBIs.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Frank Lucchesi, who replaced the fired Billy Martin as manager of the Texas Rangers in 1975 and was punched by a player upset over a demotion two years later, has died. He was 92. Lucchesi managed the Philadelphia Phillies from 1970-72 before joining the Rangers. He was fired by Texas in 1977 and spent part of 1987 as interim manager of the Chicago Cubs. Lucchesi had a 316-399 record.
