Peru to charge out-of-town residents for splash pad shelter reservations

Out of town residents can now rent a shelter at Peru’s new splash pad, but it will cost them. The Peru City Council voted to amend an ordinance that will require a $20 fee to reserve a shelter. City Clerk Dave Bartley says the splash pad is in high demand throughout the summer months.

The fee will be effective immediately.
