The LaSalle County Veterans Assistance Commission is holding an open house on Friday at five at the LaSalle VFW to help veterans learn about changes under the MISSION Act which was passed last year.
VAC Superintendent Steve Kreizter says changes made in the act to veteran’s healthcare should be an improvement over the previous system.
Kreitzer says the MISSION Act also increases tele-help access where people can video chat with a doctor without having to visit a clinic.
Kreitzer is asking people to come with questions.
He says the more questions he answers the more hiccups in the system can be worked out in advance.
