The CEO of the North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation is moving on to a new job at the end of this week.
Ivan Baker says the corporation will continue its work of promoting LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam counties once he’s gone.
The group has been around for three years and hasn’t landed a project yet. Baker says that’s normal.
He’s proud of what he says is a 400% increase in inquiries from companies.
Baker is taking a job at business accounting and consulting firm Crowe LLP in Chicago.
The corporation is looking for Baker’s replacement.
