Cusick murder case pushed back to fall

The trial of 51-year-old Ken Cusick of Ottawa won’t be happening on Monday after all.

Prosecutors and Cusick’s lawyer asked for a delay on Thursday.

Both sides say they have issues with expert witnesses to work out.

Judge Cynthia Raccuglia says with prosecutors and the defense agreeing she has no choice but allow the delay.

She still wants the trial to happen in 2019.

A hearing is set for July 25 to pick a trial date in the fall.

Ken Cusick is accused of drowning his wife Tracy Cusick in a toilet bowl back in 2006.
