Patience and alertness recommended by police chief for back-to-school traffic

Ottawa Police Chief Brent Roalson is asking drivers to be patient as they adjust to back-to-school traffic changes. School buses are returning to the streets at certain times of day. So is the slowdown that starts and ends every school day at Ottawa High.

Drivers should watch out for children, who may not always be mindful of safe practices for crossing the street. And remember the restriction on cell phone use in a school zone has been expanded to a restriction everywhere.
