After reservations, Ottawa mayor ready to give marketing company a chance

The Ottawa City Council has approved a three-year contract with Buxton Company to market the city to developers. The company can also help businesses already in the area improve their offerings to tourists and guide those tourists to the businesses. Mayor Dan Aussem is on board now.

Buxton will get $50,000 per year. The city has the option to end the contract early if things don’t work out.
