LaSalle County Circuit Clerk Greg Vaccaro says one of his big accomplishments in the office that handles court filings is that the county has become a odel for other circuit clerks’ offices. The state wants them to adopt electronic filing and other modern technology.
During the three years he’s been in office, Vaccaro says payroll costs have dropped by more than $100,000 per year. He says that’s due to retirements. Experienced employees who earn more are replaced with newcomers.
Vaccaro is a Peru Republican who was elected in 2016.
