Bus route from Danville to Chicago to stop in Oglesby

The new Heart of Illinois Bus route from Danville to Chicago makes a stop at the N. Lewis Street McDonald’s in Oglesby.

The route is being funded through federal grant money and a match through Greyhound, who is providing the buses.

Lee-Ogle Transportation Services Assistant Director Kari Wolfe says without grant funding, it wouldn’t be worth it for Greyhound.

A ribbon cutting was held at the stop on Wednesday.

The stops in Oglesby are at 10:15 in the morning from Chicago and 2:40 in the afternoon to Chicago.

Tickets need to be bought in advance online at greyhound.com.
