Snowmobilers who like to ride on the canal trail in Ottawa will have their path restored before winter sets in, says City Engineer Tom Duttlinger. He says not all the work on the canal water project is done as had been expected by now. Weather made it hard for contractors to get on it.
Duttlinger says in 2020, the final soil work can be done. So can the lighting and the connection to the Fox River, which will be the water source for two to three feet of water for recreational use in the canal.
