Candidate filings ended yesterday with two Democrats asking for the nomination to run against incumbent Republican Adam Kinzinger in the 16th Congressional District. Benjamin Baer is from Coal City and Dani Brzozowski is from LaSalle.

Seth Wiggins of Dixon is asking for the Democrats’ nomination in the Illinois House 90th District where incumbent Tom Demmer of Dixon is asking Republicans to send him to the general election.

Incumbent Morris Republican David Welter has no challengers either in the Republican primary or from Democrats in the 75th District.

Incumbent Ottawa Democrat Lance Yednock and Utica Republican Travis Breeden are the ones running in the 76th District.

Brian Vescogni and Todd Martin are the Democrats asking to run against Republican incumbent Karen Donnelly for LaSalle County State’s Attorney.

Democrat Nikki Baer and Republican Stephanie Jo Thompson are the people asking to be the next LaSalle County Auditor, if voters don’t eliminate the office in a referendum next November.

Republican Don Jensen of rural Ottawa is trying another run for LaSalle County Board Chairman. Democrat Jim Olson of Seneca, who was appointed to the seat earlier this year, filed to run for his party’s nomination.
