Congressman Kinzinger supports anti-robocall bill

Story by Martha Hoffman

People could stop getting robocalls if Congress implements a proposed bill.

Congressman Adam Kinzinger spoke Wednesday to support the House’s changes to the Senate’s bill and to call for bipartisan cooperation on this issue.

The changes passed with a 417-3 vote and have been sent back to the Senate for approval.

The bill would prevent robocalls to people who don’t consent to receiving them and sets procedures for enforcement.
