Pets given oxygen, fire fighter treated for injury at Streator house fire scene

A fire in the 900 block of Maple St. in Streator Saturday isn’t thought to be suspicious. It caused heavy damage to the back of the one-story home and to a bedroom. One fire fighter had a minor injury and was treated at the scene.

The fire department says two dogs and a cat were rescued from inside the home. They were given oxygen. All the people who live in the home got out.
