The Streator 4th of July Celebration is continuing this week. The event is moving out of Streator City Park and going to the North Point location to start having concerts on Wednesday.

Admission and parking are free for rest of the event. Streator 4th Celebration Committee President Randy Dominic says a lot of fundraising is done for the event. Right now, he says liberty dollar tickets are being sold to help raise money. He says it’s $20 dollars per ticket with the grand prize being $15,000.

Each concert at the celebration has a theme. On Thursday it’s 80’s night and our sister station 95.3 Jack FM will be broadcasting live from six to eight. The bands playing that night are Firehouse and and Jack Russel’s Great White. The celebration finishes Sunday, July 10th with a fireworks display starting at 9:30pm.
