A place doing heavy industrial work is finally getting zoned for it. The LaSalle City Council approved the change for Carus LLC at their last meeting two weeks ago.
It was zoned as a two story residential property. Now it’s zoned as a heavy industrial property. Construction projects have been happening since at least 1972, but somehow the zoning was overlooked. The latest expansion will allow Carus to building silos, a cooling tower, and a tank truck filling bay.
