IDNR Places Bounty on Black Carp

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has placed a bounty on invasive black carp.

The bounty is $100 for black carp caught in Illinois water ways. They’re part of a whole family of invasive fish.

IDNR’s Kevin Irons explains.

The goal is twofold. Get the black carp out of Illinois water ways and learn more about them so they can be managed.

Fishermen who catch black carp should call Irons at 217-557-0719.
