Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce Assistant Executive Director Meg Skelly is leaving that job to work for Progress Park Veterinary Hospital in Peru. The Chamber says Skelly’s last day will be next Friday, November 15. During the last 12 years, she has worked on member relations, starting new programs, and starting the Ottawa Network of Young Executives.
Skelly is leaving about a month-and-a-half before Executive Director Boyd Palmer does. Palmer has worked for the Chamber for 15 years and is retiring.
Chamber Board Chair Angie Stevenson says after a new executive director is hired, the board will let him or her get acquainted with the work and then decide how to best structure the office.
