PERU – The Crusaders (1-0), who never trailed, led 36-21 early in the second half before the Bruins (2-3) mounted a comeback, but the hosts never got closer than three points.

Caleb Boucher scored 13 points to lead four Crusaders in double figures. Logan Nelson and Lucas Hoffman each added 12 points, and Sean Kissel tallied 11 points.

Paul Hart poured in a game-high 23 points for the Bruins. Gunar Jouch added 12 points.

Marquette limited Saint Bede to 32 percent (18 of 57) from the field, including 4 of 24 on 3-point attempts.

OTTAWA – Regan O’Fallon finished with a game-high 10 points and five rebounds for the Lady Pirates (4-2, 1-0). Maddie Carroll added nine points and five rebounds as Ottawa snapped a two-game skid.

Mackenzie Lind led Morris (4-3, 0-1) with nine points.

Seneca 42, Reed-Custer 36

SENECA – Cassidy Draves had 11 points, while Brooklyn Giertz and Mara Bruno added nine points apiece for the Lady Irish (3-2).

Seneca won the JV contest, 30-25, behind 10 points from Kennedy Hartwig and nine points from Zoe Hougas.
