A house that burned in a fire between Mendota and Troy Grove Monday night is a total loss. The Mendota Fire Department says it sent fire fighters back to the fire scene twice Tuesday to put out flare-ups.
Three people lived in the home and are being helped by the Red Cross. Two of them were taken to St. Paul Hospital in Mendota. And one of them went back into the home but got out through a window in the middle of the fire fight.
Nine fire departments, some ambulance crews, and police were brought in through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System to help with the fire.
