Pandemic preparations: state sends refrigerator trailer to LaSalle County

The state has sent a refrigerator trailer to LaSalle County, to be used for body storage in case there are a lot of deaths from the corona virus. County Coroner William Wujek was going to ask the County Board Property Committee to temporarily acquire something like that. But in light of one arriving Friday, the committee decided not to buy one just now. County Board Chairman Jim Olson says the meeting was held via teleconference Friday afternoon.
