Normal court proceedings are resuming on Monday, June 1 in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit which covers LaSalle, Bureau, and Grundy counties. Extra cleaning procedures will be in place and hand sanitizer will be available. Other measures such as staggering court appearances and handling some business remotely will also be instituted. Everyone in the courthouse will be required to bring a face covering and maintain social distancing. Temperatures will be taken as people enter the courthouse. Anyone feeling sick should let the Circuit Clerk know they can’t appear. Court participants are not to bring family or friends to the courthouse and should arrive no earlier than fifteen minutes ahead of time.
Anyone with business at the courthouse should also check on their court dates and times as many have changed and consult with their lawyers if they need to come.
