Anthony Place housing development nearly complete

The Anthony Place housing development in downtown Ottawa on Clinton Street is just about complete. The $12-million project has 56 apartments for people ages 55-years and older took around a year to build. Andrew Block, Co-President of Crane Construction, says the whole development process took around four years.

Block says there is strong demand for affordable housing all over the country. In order to qualify to live at Anthony Place, people can only be making 60% or less of the median area income of LaSalle County. Block says Anthony Place is part of the revitalization of downtown Ottawa.

Block is proud that construction stayed on schedule and on budget despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
