The LaSalle County Health Department says a man in his 70s and a woman in her 90s are the two latest fatal cases of the COVID-19 virus in the county. That brings to 15 the number of deaths in the county attributed to the coronavirus. The health department said it had no new cases to announce Tuesday, leaving that total at 154 so far. But it reports four more recoveries, making the number 85.
The Illinois Department of Public Health added 1,614 new cases to its count, making the total 122,848. There were 113 additional deaths statewide for a total of 5,525.
