County Clerk preparing to send mail-in ballot applications

LaSalle County Clerk Lori Bongartz is preparing to send more than 42,000 vote-by-mail applications to everyone who voted in the last three elections in the county. The applications will go in the mail on August 1. Anyone who gets one but who doesn’t want to vote by mail can still vote in person. And anyone who doesn’t get an application but is eligible to vote may still ask to vote by mail.

Bongartz has also announced that Dayton Township Precinct Two voters will have an in-person polling place change. It’ll be at the Ottawa Square II plaza in unit five at 221 W. Etna Rd. in Ottawa.
