The White Sox dropped their final exhibition game to the Brewers 5-3 at Guaranteed Rate Field. Nicky Delmonico smacked a two-run homer in the loss. The Sox began the season tomorrow night by hosting the Twins with Lucas Giolito taking the mound.
Willson Contreras belted two home runs to help the Cubs beat the Twins 4-3 at Wrigley Field in their final exhibition game. Anthony Rizzo added a two-run homer for Chicago while returning from a back injury. The Cubs host the Brewers tomorrow night in their season opener. The 60-game shortened MLB season will officially get underway tonight. The defending World Series Champion Washington Nationals will host the New York Yankees in interleague action. In the night cap, the Los Angeles Dodgers will face rivals, the San Francisco Giants.
