More than 1,000 Illinois Valley Community College students received over $650,000 from federal CARES Act funding this month. Student Services President Mark Grzybowski says the average student received around $600. The money went to students who were enrolled at IVCC when the pandemic began last spring. The grants were awarded based on enrolled credit hours.
