Rep. Yednock not joining those calling for Speaker Madigan’s resignation

Lance Yednock says he’s not calling for Michael Madigan to step down as the Illinois House Speaker. The Ottawa Democrat representing the Illinois 76th District says federal investigators are still working on the case, so he’ll wait to say anything against anyone.

As for ComEd paying a fine to bribe Madigan associates for help with favorable legislation, Yednock says the state needs lobbying reform with disclosure laws to make potential conflicts of interest known ahead of time.

Yednock says he would consider undoing or redoing legislation that ComEd got passed as a result of undue influence.

A protester’s signs and their positioning imply that opposing Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan requires opposing 76th District House member Lance Yednock. This truck was parked outside the LaSalle County EMA building before Gov. Pritzker’s arrival Thursday.

More signs with another one for Lance Yednock positioned upside-down. These were also at the LaSalle County EMA building before Gov. Pritzker’s arrival.
