Carbon monoxide from a gasoline powered electricity generator drifted into a man’s home in the 1000 block of Lakewood Dr. Monday night. That set off an alarm. The Ottawa Fire Department checked things out. The man said he would turn off the generator before he went to sleep.
Electricity was off for more than half of Ottawa right after the wind storm came through Monday. Some people are using generators to keep refrigerators or air conditioners running.
