Kamala Harris and Joe Biden had their arguments during the Democratic presidential debates. Now, she’s his running mate in his bid for the White House. Harris says the arguments were just politics. LaSalle County Democratic Party Chair Dani Brzozowski says besides that, it shows Harris will stand up to Biden. Brzozowski says she likes that in a president-vice president relationship.
Harris was tough on everyone as a prosecutor. That would seem to go against current trends of justice not being so tough all the time. Brzozowski says she thinks Harris’ performance as vice president will be different than as an attorney general.
Harris didn’t get a lot of support before she dropped out of the presidential race. Brzozowski says she doesn’t think of that as a sign of failure, but as an early step in figuring out what Harris could do for the country.
You can hear more of what Dani Brzozowski said in this interview. WCMY also spoke with Brzozowski about other topics. We’ll share that part of the interview later this week.
