One new COVID-19 related death was reported by the LaSalle County Health Department on Thursday. There has been at least one death reported every day this week. The individual was a woman in her nineties. There has been a total of 38 COVID-19 related deaths in LaSalle County.
The health department also reported 23 new cases for a total of 1033. The individuals listed are 12 men and 11 women ranging in age from their teens to their eighties.
Eight new recoveries were also announced for a recovery rate of 50.8 percent with 525 in all.
Illinois announced 1,832 new cases and 27 additional deaths for a state-wide total of 213,721 cases and 7,833 deaths. The state also reported a record 51,000 tests performed in a single day. The seven day test positivity rate is at 4.4 percent.
