ROOTS with ROBB Classic Album: CSN&Y Deja Vu

By Billy Thompson Sep 10, 2020 | 6:17 PM

Supergroup month was a few months back, and somehow we left arguably the biggest Supergroup off the schedule.  So we made up for that by going over the ‘roots’ of their 2nd album Deja Vu. Technically, would it be their first album?  I mean, Neil Young wasn’t on their debut…so it was technically a different band?  Enough with the technicalities.  Reunite the two primary Buffalo Springfield songwriters, throw in (arguably) the greatest harmonies in Rock and Roll, and you’ve got a classic album.  The only problem is, they weren’t really getting along.  Plus Neil Young is an animal that can’t be tamed.  He was always going to go solo again.  So CSNY had this one album as a 4-piece, and then didn’t have another studio album with all 4 until 1988!  Enjoy the episode.
