Congressional candidate says more Democrats should have supported coronavirus stimulus bill

Congressional candidate Dani Brzozowski is proud to be a Democrat, but she says Democrats and Republicans need to try to get along. She feels the coronavirus stimulus bill that didn’t get out of the U.S. Senate earlier this month wasn’t a great bill, but she says it was better than nothing. It offered $300 per week in enhanced unemployment benefits; Democrats wanted more.

But now it looks like no bill has a chance to pass, at least for a few months.

Democrats wanted money for cities facing layoffs. They didn’t want a tax credit to help students go to private schools.

Brzozowski is running against incumbent Republican Adam Kinzinger.
