The temperature is dropping so grab your biggest soup pan and let’s make some chili!

Grandma’s Chili

Hopefully I don’t disappoint you “chili aficionados” , but this is my Irish grandmother’s recipe.  It’s very simple, easy to make and delicious!

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs lean hamburger

1 lg onion

4 stalks celery

2 cans diced tomatoes

2 cans beans

2 lg cans Tomato Juice

Pepper to taste

Chili Powder

DIRECTIONS

Chop onion and celery, brown with hamburger.  Drain.

Combine all ingredients in big pot.

Add chili powder to taste

Cook on low for 4 hours.

It’s that simple and you can freeze the leftovers.  Serve with oyster crackers and you have a great meal.
