What can be said about Ozzy that hasn’t already been said? Apparently a lot! This is one of our longest episodes of Roots (including the bonus content), and yes, I’m sure a lot of what we talk about has been covered before, but looking at Ozzy in the context of a Brand instead of an Artist is definitely a conversation worth having. How much did the ‘brand’ have to do with influence? Plus there’s some great BONUS CONTENT starting at 9:42 that goes into deeper discussion on Zakk Wylde, plus talk of the Grateful Dead?? Yep! Lots of good stuff in this bonus content of us just riffing back and forth about Ozzy’s career and Robb’s great story of seeing Ozzy on the No More Tours tour in 1992 at Alpine Valley. Be prepared for mentions of Ugly Kid Joe and Slaughter!

Our Roots Song of the Day:
That stage set is CRAZY! And to think, front row tickets were probably like $15.
Here’s a classic clip from Ozzy’s appearance on Letterman in 1982 just a few days after Randy Rhoads died.
