Lady Gaga came on like a flash and burned bright with crazy costumes, red carpet moments and performance extravaganzas right out of the gate. She had some really good pop songs too! But the full album experience (at least to me) seemed to fall a little short. Her vocals and live performances more than make up for it though. Her roots/influence are pretty clear to see (Madonna/Bowie). If you haven’t watched her Netflix documentary, I recommend checking that out.
For this week’s bonus content, Robb and I decided to rank 5 mega female pop stars (Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani, and Taylor Swift). Yes, there’s plenty others we probably should’ve included (P!nk!, Beyonce, Rihanna, etc.) but it was a spur of the moment thing and wanted to keep it to just 5.
